Cottage cheese twirls
Bakery
- 400 g flour (for dough)
- chicken eggs:
- for the test - 2 pcs.
- for the filling - 2 pcs.
- for lubrication - 2 yolks
- vegetable oil (for dough) - 0.5 tbsp.
- butter (for dough) - 50 g
- salt - about 1 tsp.
- cottage cheese - 0.5 kg
- green onion (feathers) - 1 bunch
- dill - 1 bunch
- sour cream - 30 g.
Recipe for vertuta with cottage cheese
1. Sift the flour into a large bowl.
2. We make a recess in the hill of flour, drive in 2 eggs there. Stir (recommended with a wooden spoon).
3. In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of warm water, add vegetable oil there, add salt. In this version, pour into a bowl of flour. Mix everything thoroughly, and then knead with your hands to feel when the dough becomes elastic.
4. Then cover it with a napkin and leave for half an hour.
5. Prepare the filling: combine cottage cheese with eggs, salt, wipe well. Then we stir in a spoonful of sour cream, finely chopped greens and mix well again.
6. As soon as the dough has already been infused, it must be divided into 5 equal parts, but 6 is better (so that there is an even number). From the resulting pieces we form balls.
7. Roll out pieces of dough on a table greased with vegetable oil. Even hands can be oiled for convenience.
8. Then spread the butter on the surface, spread the filling.
9. We turn each piece of dough into a roll, and then form a tourniquet from the roll.
10. Before sending to a baking sheet, twist the 1st piece with a snail and put it on a baking sheet. And the 2nd piece, which, as in the previous case, wrapped in a tourniquet, spread in a spiral around the snail.
11. So we do with the remaining parts of the test.
12. We spread egg yolks on top of the twirls.
13. Bake for half an hour until the finished vertuts are golden brown at a temperature of 200 degrees.
Since this dish is still of Moldovan cuisine, and Moldova is famous for its wines, then set the table with homemade wine.
