Duck with apples and honey

- duck carcass - 1.5-2 kg;
- apples, preferably sweet and sour - 0.5 kg;
- natural honey - 3-4 tbsp. l.;
- garlic - 2-3 cloves;
- vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp. l.;
- Spices (ground black pepper, rosemary, coriander, salt) - to taste.
Recipe for duck with apples and honey
To begin with, the duck carcass should be washed well and the remains of feathers and the so-called “stumps” should be removed from its surface. If the honey has already been sugared, then it should be melted in a water bath or put in a microwave oven for a few minutes. From honey, you need to prepare the following sauce: very finely chop or crush the cloves of garlic, add spices, oil and honey to them. Mix thoroughly.
Lubricate the duck on all sides with the mixture that you have made, and do not forget that it should also be lubricated inside. Next, leave the carcass for about an hour, or a little less; you do not need to put it in the refrigerator.
While the duck is "infused", you can work on apples. Wash them and cut into slices, after removing the cores. Place a part of the apples in the belly of the duck, which is then sewn up or pinched with toothpicks. The wings and legs of the bird must be tucked into cuts in the skin, or tied.
Before you put the duck in the oven, preheat it, the oven, to 200 ° C. Put the duck on a baking sheet or in a special baking dish. Cover your bird on all sides with the remaining apples, and pour a few tablespoons of water into the bottom of the mold. You can put the tray in the oven. After about 20-30 minutes, it is necessary to pour over the duck with the juice that has appeared, and reduce the temperature in the oven to 180 ° C. During roasting, baste duck with juice every 20-30 minutes. The total baking time for duck with honey and apples is 2 hours. The duck must be served hot, after pulling out all the threads or toothpicks.
