Dough for "vegan" pizza
Uncategorized
- vegetable oil (olive oil is best) - 3-4 tablespoons;
- flour - 1.5 cups;
- salt - half a teaspoon;
- dry yeast -10-11 g (1 sachet);
- water - half a glass.
More and more people are seeking to exclude animal products from their diets, swept by the wave of fashion for vegetarianism. It would seem that pizza was not originally among the dishes of "vegan" cuisine, however, many modern culinary associations have long found a way out and have developed recipes designed specifically for gourmets who follow a vegetarian diet. If you have a desire, preparing such a dish using a special base is not difficult even at home.
The main mistake of some cooks is that, when preparing a vegetarian pizza, they think over only the filling, and the dough for the base is made according to an old recipe that uses products that are unacceptable for a "vegan" diet.

There is nothing complicated in the cooking process. First you need to take a deep bowl and fill it with flour by one third, making a small depression in the center. Then it should be filled with warm water, add olive oil and salt. After that, you can add yeast. In traditional Italian recipes, it is yeast dough that is used, as it is best combined with popular ingredients.
All ingredients should be gently mixed with a tablespoon until a homogeneous consistency so that the mass absorbs all the flour. Next, the dough is laid out on the work surface and kneaded for 4-5 minutes, after which it needs to be shaped into a ball.
The resulting substance should be placed in a new, clean bowl, previously sprinkled with flour, covered with cling film and left in a warm place for 40-50 minutes.
After this time, the dough will increase in volume. Then you can put it back on the work surface, carefully knead it so that excess air comes out, and form a round thin base.
