Ingredients
  • 400 grams of beef
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 2 onions
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 2 bay leaves
  • dill greens
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt
Pea soup with beef is a Finnish dish. The soup recipe is not complicated, so you should not have any difficulties in preparing it.

We take peas and wash them well under cold water, it is better to rinse several times, as it is often very dirty and dusty.

We put the washed peas in a suitable dish and fill it with water for a couple of hours so that it soaks a little.

In the meantime, we wash the meat, put it in a saucepan and fill it with water, add bay leaf and salt. Cook until meat is tender, about 2 hours.

When the beef is ready, take it out of the pan and cut into small pieces.

Before returning the pieces of beef back, strain the broth through a colander.

Now we clean and wash the potatoes, then cut them into cubes and add to the pan.

Also add the soaked peas to the boiling broth.

Now we will make a frying, for this we clean and chop the onion, rub the carrots on a medium grater. Shredded vegetables are fried in vegetable oil.

Grind the dill and add to the pea soup along with the frying, 5 minutes before the soup is ready.

At this stage, taste the soup, is there enough salt, you can also add your favorite seasonings.
