Strudel with apple-nut filling
Ingredients
  • Flour - 250 gr.
  • Chicken eggs - 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Salt - 1 pinch
  • Filling Ingredients
  • Juicy apples - 4 pcs.
  • Walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds - 100 gr.
  • Flour - 50 gr.
  • Lemon - ½ pc.
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp.
  • Cinnamon - 1 pinch
  • Coating ingredients:
  • Milk - 2 tbsp.
  • Yolks - 1 pc.
  • Breadcrumbs - 30 gr.
  • Softened butter - 100 gr.

Recipe for strudel with apple and walnut filling

Knead the dough and divide it into 2 parts. In the first part, add 1 tbsp. vegetable oil, after which we mix it into the second part and knead the dough.

Now add 1 more tablespoon of vegetable oil and knead the dough, then cover it with a towel and set aside for 30 minutes.

We wash the apples and remove the core, cut into slices and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Grind all the nuts in a blender.

Take a cotton towel, dust it with flour and roll out a thin layer of dough on it.

Lubricate the dough again with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, leaving a strip of 10 centimeters on 1 side.

We evenly spread nuts and apples on crackers, sprinkle everything with cinnamon and granulated sugar, and put small pieces of butter on top.

We beat the milk together with the yolk and grease the strip that we did not take.

Using a towel, roll the strudel into a roll.

Grease a baking sheet with butter, sprinkle with flour and put our strudel on it with the end down.

Lubricate the strudel with a mixture of milk and yolk and put it in the oven for 40 minutes, which should be heated to 220 degrees. During baking, grease the strudel 2 times with a milk-egg mixture, sprinkle with a little sugar for the last time.

We take out the finished strudel and cover with a towel for 20 minutes so that the crust becomes soft.
