Salad "Cobb" got its name in honor of its creator - Bob Cobb, who was the owner of the excellent restaurant Derby Brown. One night, Cobb went into the kitchen of his restaurant for a bite to eat. Moving from one refrigerator to another, he could only find a couple of boiled chicken eggs, 1 small piece of cheese, garlic, tomato, avocado, celery, some fresh lettuce, a couple of slices of bacon and a boiled chicken breast. From this set of ingredients, Cobb whipped up a salad that he really liked. Since then, this salad has been included in the restaurant menu and its fame has spread far beyond its chapels.
