Ingredients

  • Eight to ten new potatoes
  • One kilo of beef
  • six pieces of carrots
  •  Two pieces of turnip
  •  Two tea spoons of sugar
  • 2.5 glasses of red wine
  • Two tablespoons of butter
  • One tablespoon chopped rosemary
  • 250 grams of mushrooms
  • six cloves of garlic
  • One bunch of parsley
  • We cut the leeks, while using both the white and green parts of it.
  • Wash the leeks well. We also chop an onion.
  • After that, cut the carrots into slices, turnips into cubes, wash and cut the potatoes.
  • Next, boil the chopped onion for about 5 minutes.
  • We take the beef, cut it into cubes.
  • Let's prepare all the ingredients.
  • Put the bacon pieces on the pan and fry it. And using the remaining fat after frying the bacon, fry the beef on it.
  • Then add the bacon, chopped turnip, onion, leek and sugar to the pan to the meat in the pan. And let it cook for 10 minutes.
  • Having melted the vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry the mushrooms.
  • Next, let's make the sauce. To do this, in a pan, mix wine, tomato paste, broth, thyme, jelly and, if desired, you can put a bay leaf. And cook the sauce for a few minutes.
  • Then add the sauce to the meat, then the potatoes, bring everything to a boil and leave to cook for 45 minutes
  • Pour the sauce over the meat. Add potatoes. Bring everything to a boil, cover with a lid, cook over low heat for 45 minutes.
  • After 45 minutes have passed, add the fried mushrooms to the meat and continue to simmer for another 30-45 minutes.
