One of the popular sushi recipes is gunkan sushi. Outwardly, they look like some kind of “boats” that the chef forms from nori seaweed, filling them to the top with rice. The filling for the dish can be almost anything. Suitable and traditional seafood, and caviar, and cream cheese.

First, of course, cook the rice itself according to the recipe that you like. The rice is then allowed to cool down so that it is not unnecessarily hot. After that, an oblong bar is formed from it.

We strip the algae sheet into ribbons, each about 4 centimeters thick. The bar must be wrapped in such a strip so that the same “boat” is formed, which will have an open top. The ends of the ribbon are fastened with grains of rice.

To prepare the filling, you need to boil the shrimp, let them cool and finely chop. Then mix the mayonnaise with the sauce in the same proportions - so you get the sauce of the desired taste. Add shrimp to it, then caviar. All this is thoroughly mixed. Now we put the filling in our boat.

On this dish gunkan sushi is ready. It is served on the table along with soy sauce, wasabi and ginger.
