Profiteroles with caramel sauce
Desserts
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 7 art. l. butter (cut into cubes)
- 1 tsp Sahara
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1.25 cups flour
- 4 large eggs (beaten)
- 1.5 cups fat-free frozen vanilla yogurt
- Sauce Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- 1.25 cups sugar
- 5 st. l. butter (cut into cubes)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Recipe for Profiteroles with Caramel Sauce
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Mix milk, butter, sugar and salt with a blender. Gradually add flour to the mixture, knead the dough with a spoon.
Put the mixture on medium heat for 1 minute.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl, add the eggs. Beat with a mixer for 30 seconds.
Transfer the dough into a pastry bag.
Place small buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
Cut the finished profiteroles with a knife into two equal halves.
Put yogurt on half of the profiterole, cover it with the second half.
Heat cream over medium heat. Mix sugar with 1/4 cup water. Heat this mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Cook until caramel turns golden. Add oil, stir.
Remove from heat, add hot cream and stir.
Add vanilla extract to sauce and refrigerate.
