  • Kefir - 500 ml.
  • 1 head of onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Half a lime or lemon
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and ground black pepper - to taste

Finely chop the garlic cloves and onion.

We put chopped garlic and onion in a large enough bowl, pour in kefir, vegetable oil, squeeze the juice from half a lime and salt and pepper to taste. Mix the added ingredients well.

Now we take a large plastic bag and put the chicken carcass there and pour in the mixture we just made.

We tie the bag and gently shake it so that all the chicken is in the marinade, now we put it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

After this time, preheat the oven to 200 degrees and put the chicken there after taking it out of the bag. If you cook grilled chicken on a wire rack, you can put butter and herbs inside the carcass, so it will turn out even more juicy and fragrant.

Place a pan of water under the chicken so that the dripping fat does not burn. By the way, you can put to bake instead of water, some kind of side dish, potatoes for example.

Roast chicken until tender (60-80 minutes, depending on size), basting occasionally with remaining marinade. If there is not enough marinade left, you can dilute it with water.
