Buns on fermented buttermilk
Ingredients
  • 500 g flour
  • 470 g fermented buttermilk or curdled milk
  • 125 g butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • 15 g baking powder
To make jam, finely chop a not too hot mil pepper and boil it with sugar and vinegar, adding some sweet spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, nutmeg and cloves.

1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and soda. Add the diced butter and rub with your hands until crumbly.

2. Add buttermilk or curdled milk and mix - the dough will be quite liquid.

3. Put the dough on a surface covered with parchment and roll it out to a thickness of about 2.5 cm. Cut out circles with a diameter of 4-5 cm with a round mold or a glass and transfer to a baking sheet covered with parchment so that the buns almost touch each other.

4. Lubricate the buns with cream and bake in the center of an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 18-20 minutes. Serve warm with sweet-spicy jam.
