Pies with cabbage
Bakery
- 3 art. flour
- 1 tbsp Sahara
- Fresh yeast - 30 g
- Egg - 1 pc.
- 300 ml milk
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
- Salt
- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 apple
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 1 bay leaf
- Onion - 2 pcs.
- Sugar - 1 tbsp. l.
- Vegetable oil

Recipe for cabbage pies
Let's prepare the dough first. Combine sugar and yeast in a bowl. Then sift the flour. After they become liquid, pour warm milk into a container, add salt, eggs, sunflower oil and sifted flour.
Let's knead the dough. Next, cover the dough with a napkin or towel, place in a warm place for 1.5 hours and wait for it to come up.
While waiting, we will prepare the filling for our pies.
Finely chop onion and cabbage. Peel the apple from the skin, and then grate it.
Saute the onion in hot sunflower oil for about 5 minutes. Add apple, cabbage to the pan, close the lid and simmer for about 5 minutes over medium heat.
The next step is to add tomato paste, bay leaf, salt and sugar to the cabbage. Stir and fry without a lid for 3 to 5 minutes.
The dough begins to be cut after it has doubled in size. We form small balls, roll out with a rolling pin. The filling is put into the resulting cake, pinched and thereby forming a pie.
The final stage is frying the pies. Vegetable oil is poured into the pan so that it covers the bottom. In a preheated pan, put the pies with a pinch down. We reduce the fire after 2 minutes, then fry the pies for 5 minutes under the lid until a golden crust appears. Turn the pies over, add more oil and fry on the other side for 5 minutes.
