Ossetian pie with potatoes
Ingredients
  • 1 kg flour
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 600 ml milk
  • 150 gr. pickled cheese
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 100 gr. sour cream
  • 2 tbsp yeast
  • Salt
Ossetian potato pie - will be a wonderful treat for tea, very tasty and satisfying.

Recipe for Ossetian pie with potatoes

Sift the flour and pour salt, sugar, yeast into it, and pour in the baked milk. Knead the dough from these components, set it aside to rise. After 50-60 minutes, knead the dough and let it rest for about the same amount of time.

While the dough is being nurtured, boil the potatoes and mash them, adding cheese, butter and sour cream.

We divide the risen dough into 3 identical parts, form a cake from each part.

We spread a third of the filling in the middle of the cake, collect the ends of the dough in a pile and pinch them.

Now, with gentle movements, we form a cake from this ball so as not to break through the dough. Sprinkle the finished cake of the Ossetian pie with flour on both sides.

We spread the Ossetian pie with potatoes on a baking sheet, which we previously greased with oil. Coat the top of the pie with chicken egg, butter or sour cream.

We send the baking sheet with the pie to the oven for 15-20 minutes, the oven should be preheated to 190 degrees.
