Ingredients
  • Fresh, ripe cucumbers - 4 kg
  • Bouquet of spices: dill, horseradish, cherry, currant…
  • Garlic - 2-3 heads
  • Other spices and spices - optional
  • Water - as needed
  • Salt - tbsp. for every liter of water
Soon the time will come for the first harvest of cucumbers, which means it's time to discuss the topic of pickles a little. I can say with confidence that today, very few people, especially in cities, can boast of eating real pickles.

Recipe for salted cucumbers

Wash the cucumbers, cut off the tips on both sides.

Wash the garlic without peeling, crush the cloves with the flat side of the knife blade.

Put spices on the bottom of the dishes, in which the cucumbers are salted, on top of the cucumbers and so lay the entire volume in layers. Top should be spices.

Dissolve the salt in the compote of spices, or in water and pour over the cucumbers so that the brine barely covers the vegetables.

Put a load on top of the cucumbers.

Let the cucumbers ferment for 2-3 days, making sure that they do not peroxide.
