Salted tomatoes and cucumbers
Ingredients
  • Small cucumbers - 700 gr.
  • Tomatoes - 700 gr.
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Horseradish - 1 sheet
  • Dill - 3 umbrellas
  • Leaves of grapes, currants and cherries - 2 pcs.
  • Allspice - 6 pcs.
  • Black peppercorns - 6 pcs.
  • 1 glass 3 liter jar
  • 1 tbsp Sahara
  • 1 tbsp salt
We are used to cooking classic salted cucumbers, but what if we cook them with tomatoes? Let's try.

We wash cucumbers and tomatoes.

Soak cucumbers in cold water for 1.5 hours.

In order for the vegetables to absorb the salt faster, cut off the tips of the cucumbers, and pierce the tomatoes with a fork. If you have large tomatoes, you can cut them into slices.

Peel the garlic from the husk and cut into thin slices.

We wash the greens, and cut the horseradish into large pieces.

We put a little greens, pepper and garlic in a jar, after which we lay out cucumbers, and tomatoes on top. Put the rest of the greens on top of the vegetables.

Let's prepare the brine. Boil water, dissolve sugar and salt in it. Pour the resulting liquid over our vegetables and close the lid tightly.

We are waiting for the jar to cool, and move it to the refrigerator.
