  • Sour cream - 1 cup
  • Cheese (if desired) - 50 g
  • Oil - 2-3 tbsp. spoons
  • Ground spices: black pepper, nutmeg, bay leaf - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
It seems that onion pie is one of the most delicious and tender dishes from savory pastries. An extremely easy-to-prepare and budget-friendly dish, but a taste that can be overshadowed by the gourmet dishes of any restaurant. And everything is very simple, the whole secret is in a simple filling and even a simple test. What could be more classic than onion stewed in sour cream combined with classic spices - ground black pepper, nutmeg and bay leaf...

Melt margarine in a water bath or in a microwave and cool to room temperature (so that eggs and sour cream do not curl).

Add sour cream, eggs, salt to margarine and stir until a homogeneous mixture.

Quench the soda with vinegar and add to the mixture.

Pour flour into the mixture and knead a thick dough.

Place the dough in the refrigerator for a few hours to chill well.

Cut the onion into half rings and stir-fry with a tablespoon of oil in a wide frying pan.

Wash the mushrooms, cut into thin slices and add to the onion when it turns white and starts to turn pink.

Beat eggs, sour cream, salt, spices with a whisk in a bowl and add to the chilled onion.
