Pieces of pork in ginger marinade on a bed of vegetables
Ingredients
  • 400 g pork tenderloin
  • 2 tomatoes
  • bunch of watercress
  • mixed salad greens
  • 7.5 ml vegetable oil
  • For marinade:
  • 20 g fresh ginger root
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 15 ml sake or dry white wine
Add ginger to marinades, and also pickle it yourself. Do you want to cook the famous Japanese seasoning that is served with rolls in sushi bars? Cut 80-100 g of fresh ginger into thin slices and soak in cold water for 30 minutes. Remove the ginger from the water, pour boiling water over it and boil for a minute. In a separate saucepan over low heat, dissolve 1 1/2 tbsp. l. sugar in 1/2 tsp. rice vinegar and 1/2 tsp. soy sauce. Salt the prepared ginger well, pour over the hot marinade and leave for about 1.5-2 hours.

Make the marinade: Grate ginger and squeeze it over a bowl to get 1 teaspoon of ginger juice. Add soy sauce, sake or wine, stir.

Cut the pork into slices 1 cm thick and marinate in the prepared sauce for 15-20 minutes.

Cut the tomatoes into four slices. Wash and dry the watercress and salad greens.

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and put the pork in one layer, pouring plenty of marinade over it. Fry over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.

Put lettuce leaves on a plate, on them - tomatoes and pieces of meat.

Garnish with watercress, pour juice from the pan and serve immediately.
