- chicken breasts - 4 pcs.;
- pesto sauce - 4 tbsp. l.;
- hard cheese - 100 g;
- garlic cloves - 2 pcs.;
- puff pastry - 1 pack;
- egg yolk - 1 pc.;
- salt, pepper - to taste;
- olive oil for frying.
Recipe for chicken in dough
Inside each piece of fillet it is necessary to make an incision, sufficient to insert a piece of cheese so that it does not fall out. Mix together salt, pepper, very finely chopped garlic and olive oil. Coat the pieces of chicken fillet with the resulting mixture on all sides and leave them for 30 minutes so that they marinate a little.
While the breasts are marinating, you can work on the dough. Roll out the dough well, cut it into 4 parts, and thoroughly coat each piece with pesto sauce. When the meat is marinated, put it on the dough and carefully pinch its edges. Each piece of meat has its own piece of dough. Lubricate the resulting envelopes with yolk and bake in the oven at 200 ° C for about 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180 ° C and bake for another 30-40 minutes.
