Chicken with pineapple
Second courses
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 50 ml vegetable oil
- half a pineapple
- 1 lime
- 1 chili pepper
- 500 gr. chicken fillet
- 50 gr. dark brown sugar
- ½ tsp salt
Pineapple chicken recipe
Peel the garlic cloves and finely chop, add various spices and salt to it. We grind everything well in a mortar to get a paste-like consistency. Add vegetable oil to the mortar and stir to make a marinade.
Cut the chicken fillet into small strips across the grain. We put it in a suitable plate and add the marinade there. Mix the pieces of meat in the marinade so that the oil completely envelops the chicken. Place bowl with chicken in a cool place to marinate for 1 hour.
Peel and cut the pineapple into cubes.
Heat the pan, pour 1 tbsp. a spoonful of oil, squeeze the juice of 1 lime and pour sugar into it.
Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
We put the chicken in the pan, pouring all the marinade in the same way, mix everything.
Add pineapple pieces, mix everything again and continue cooking for 5 minutes with the lid closed. Do not overcook the meat, otherwise it will become dry, remove from heat as soon as the chicken is ready.
