Recipe for croque-monsieur with beef

1

Prepare the bechamel sauce. Melt the butter in a frying pan. Gradually add the flour and, stirring constantly, wait until the flour absorbs all the oil. Then begin to gradually pour in the milk, constantly stirring the sauce with a wooden spatula. When all the milk is poured in, stirring constantly, bring the sauce to a boil, reduce the heat to low, stir in the cheese and leave the sauce on the fire for another 5 minutes. Let the sauce cool and thicken.

2

If you still could not avoid lumps, wipe the sauce through a sieve.

3

Brown the bread in a toaster or pan. Cut each slice of beef into small pieces.

4

Brush all slices of bread with sauce on one side. Place 4 slices of beef over the sauce, then spinach leaves and a slice of Gruyère. Cover with the remaining slices of bread. Spread the béchamel sauce again on the bread, placing a slice of Gruyère on each. Collect all 4 sandwiches in this way.

5

Send the sandwiches to the oven preheated to 180 ° C for 6-8 minutes. At the end of cooking, turn on the grill function so that the cheese on top is well browned.

6

Remove sandwiches, sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve.
