Dried fruits compote
Ingredients
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 Golden apples
  • 200 gr. pitted prunes
  • 120 gr. dried figs
  • 50 gr. cranberries or dry cherries
  • 100 gr. granulated sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Any other dried fruits
Many people know that dried fruits are very useful, but not everyone likes to eat them, so you can make compote from dried fruits. Dried fruit compote can be served as a dessert using boiled fruits.

Remove the peel from the orange and lemon, squeeze 2-3 tbsp. spoons of lemon juice. Peel the apples and cut out the cores.

We put a large saucepan on a strong fire and bring the lemon juice to a boil, add the orange and lemon peels, various dried fruits, apples, figs, cinnamon, dried cherries and 700 ml of water. Stir the dried fruit compote until the sugar dissolves.

We make a weaker fire, cover the pan with compote with a lid and cook for 20 minutes, until the apples are soft. After the lapse of time, we cool the compote.

Pour the dried fruit compote into a suitable container and refrigerate for about 4 hours.
