Ingredients
  • Flour-250 g
  • Salt
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp cold water
  • Heavy cream - 200 ml
  • 4 eggs
  • Ham - 250 g
  • Cheese - 150 g
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • A pinch of grated nutmeg
Quiche or Laurent pie is a cross between a pie and a casserole. This dish can be prepared with a variety of toppings. The easiest filling option is cheese and ham. The dish is perfect for breakfast, and it is served both cold and hot.

The first step in production will be the preparation of the dough. The flour is sifted, the butter is rubbed on a grater. Egg, flour, water, salt are mixed, you can use a food processor.

Roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in cling film and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Starts preparing the filling for the quiche. Smoked ham cut into thin strips of small size and fry in a pan. Grate 2/3 cheese on a coarse grater. Then mix cheese, cream and beaten eggs. Add salt, nutmeg and black pepper. We put the ham in the resulting egg-cream mixture.

Preheat the oven to 190°C. In a special form with sides, put the rolled out dough and pierce it with a fork. The cooking time will be 15 minutes.

Spread the filling on the resulting cake and sprinkle it with cheese. Then bake for another 30 minutes. Quiche with ham and cheese can be served at the table.
