Recipe for making kefta - a classic recipe

1

Wash the parsley, sort, dry and finely chop. Soak stale bread in milk. Grate hard cheese on a fine grater. In a deep bowl, mix chopped beef with chopped parsley.

2

Squeeze out the softened bread and mix it with parsley. Beat eggs into the meat mass, put grated cheese, add salt and pepper to taste and knead the mass well with your hands. Pour olive oil into a deep saucepan to a height of 3 cm.

3

Heat oil to a boil. With wet hands, form round cakes of approximately the same size from the mass and fry them in boiling oil over low heat for approx. 10 min. Put the finished kefta on a paper towel to absorb excess fat. Serve the dish hot.
