Potato zrazy with herring
Ingredients
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 250 gr. herring fillet in oil
  • 1 chicken egg
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Vegetable oil - as needed
  • Salt - to taste
A very simple and surprisingly tasty combination of potatoes and herring. Prepare these beautiful potato zrazy with herring, you will definitely like them.

We peel and boil the potatoes until tender, usually the boiling process takes 20 minutes. Drain the water from the pan, leaving just a couple of spoons. Mash the potatoes, making a puree out of it, add 2 tbsp. tablespoons of butter, chicken egg and salt, mix everything well.

Finely chop the herring, remove any bones.

We clean the garlic and onion, after which we finely chop everything. Fry the vegetables for 5 minutes in a preheated pan with the addition of oil. Let the vegetables cool down, then mix them with herring.

We form cakes of small diameter from mashed potatoes, about 5-7 centimeters. We spread the prepared herring minced meat on the middle of the cakes, connect the edges and roll the resulting zrazy in flour.

Fry potato zrazy with herring in a heated frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side.
