Potato zrazy with herring

- Potato - 1 kg
- Herring fillet in oil - 250 g
- Egg - 1 pc.
- Flour - 2 tbsp. l.
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Onion - 2 pcs.
- Butter - 3 tbsp. l.
- Salt
- Vegetable oil
Recipe for potato zrazy with herring
After peeling the potatoes, they put them to cook until fully cooked, it takes about 20 minutes. After that, water is drained from the pan, so that 2 or 3 tablespoons remain. After mashing the potatoes in a puree, an egg is added to it, 2 tbsp. oils, salt and mix thoroughly.
The fillet is finely chopped and all bones are removed. After cleaning the onion, cut it into small cubes, peel the garlic, chop it. After frying the vegetables for 5 minutes, they are set aside to cool, after which they are mixed with herring.
Cakes with a diameter of about 6 cm are made from mashed potatoes. Putting minced vegetables and herring in the middle of such cakes, the edges of the cake are connected and the desired shape is given to the zrazy. Having rolled them in flour, the zrazy are fried in well-heated oil, while frying on one side takes about 4 minutes. Served with sour cream.
