Cabbage stewed with pepper
Second courses
- 400 gr. cabbage
- 2 sweet peppers
- 2 onions
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 glass of tomato juice
Recipe for stewed cabbage with pepper
We clean the onion from the husk and cut it into cubes.
Peel the garlic and cut into thin slices.
Remove the stem from the pepper and cut into cubes.
Heat up a frying pan with vegetable oil. We spread the garlic, pepper and onion in a pan, cook the vegetables until soft.
While the vegetables are cooking, chop the cabbage.
Add cabbage to the pan. If you chopped cabbage more than necessary, then do not worry, it will evaporate at least twice during the cooking process.
Add some salt and pepper to taste. Pour in the tomato juice and tomato paste. Tomato paste can be replaced with ketchup or adjika.
Mix everything well again, close the pan with a lid and continue to simmer for 40 minutes over low heat, remembering to stir occasionally.
After the time has elapsed, taste the dish, if necessary, add more salt.
