Italian panini sandwich
Second courses
- 1 baguette
- 100 gr. mozzarella cheese
- 1 tomato
- 20 gr. pesto sauce
- Olive oil - to taste
- 1 small bunch of basil
Italian panini sandwich recipe
Cut the bread into rectangular pieces and cut it into two halves.
Spread slices of bread with sauce (you can use any sauce you have in the refrigerator or whatever you like). Put thin slices of tomato and mozzarella on top, put fresh basil on top. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper. We cover our sandwich with the second half of the bread and put it on a preheated frying pan with a little olive oil.
Now we need to find a press for our sandwich. For this purpose, a simple brick is perfect, which is best wrapped in foil. Place a brick on top of the panini sandwich. We will make sure that the filling does not come out. It should brown a little. Somewhere 3-5 minutes will be enough. Flip the sandwich browned side up and press down again with a brick.
When the sandwich is ready, cut it into halves and serve.
