Stuffed herring
Ingredients
  • herring (choose a large one to make it more convenient to stuff) - 1 pc.
  • carrots - 1/2 pc. (or 1, but small)
  • chicken egg - 1 pc.
  • processed cheese - 40 g
  • butter - 20 g
  • olive oil - 25 ml
Herring in any form is loved by many. We most often see it simply under pickled onion rings, or under a “fur coat”. This recipe will add variety to your serving with the same favorite herring.

1. You need to wash the carrots well. We boil it.

2. While the carrots are cooking, put the processed cheese in the refrigerator.

3. We clean the herring from the insides and bones to get a clean fillet (2 pcs.). Do not throw away the tail right away, it can be a great decoration.

4. Now you need to carefully operate with a sharp knife to cut off the flesh with jewelry (leave the wall thickness of the fillet about 5 mm).

5. Cooking minced meat: mix the herring pulp with carrots, eggs, melted butter. We take out the cheese from the refrigerator (step 2) and three on a coarse grater. Combine all mince ingredients and mix well.

6. In order not to stain the table (board), we cover the surface with a film, which we grease with plenty of olive oil. Lay out 1 strip of herring fillet.

Put the filling on top and wrap tightly with the second piece. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for about half an hour.

7. Before serving, it is necessary to free the herring from the film and cut into pieces. You can decorate with your favorite herbs.
