Draniki (with semolina)

Draniki (with semolina)
Ingredients
  • 500 g potatoes;
  • 150 g of onion;
  • 50 g semolina;
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic;
  • salt, black pepper;
  • vegetable oil.
Draniki is a dish originally from Belarus. It is the Belarusians who know the largest number of recipes for potato pancakes. However, in Russia and Ukraine, this dish is also loved and cooked in almost every family. Our hostesses are no less experienced - most of them have their own secret of making "the most delicious" potato pancakes. This recipe is not only delicious, but also very economical (no eggs). Pancakes are golden, with a delicious crispy crust.

Recipe for potato pancakes (with semolina)

1

cleaning vegetables. Three potatoes on a "prickly" grater.

2

We rub the onion on a fine grater (“for carrots”).

3

Three garlic on the same grater as the onion.

4

Mix vegetables, salt and pepper. Seasonings are added to taste.

5

Adding mango. We mix.

6

We heat up the pan. The more oil, the more golden the pancakes will be. I usually pour 2-3 mm.

7

We fry the cakes on moderate heat (not the minimum, and not the maximum gas). Each side is 2 minutes. Approximately. If you like golden, straight brown potato pancakes, fry longer.
