Whole grain buns
Ingredients
  • 10 grams fast acting dry yeast
  • 500 grams of quality wheat flour
  • 200 ml mineral water
  • 10 grams fresh honey
  • 1 tsp salt
Whole grain buns are very healthy as they are made from whole grain flour. These buns are quite easy to prepare, they can be used instead of bread or, for example, to make hamburgers. It will take you approximately 1.5 hours to prepare.

Recipe for whole grain buns

We mix the dry ingredients, stir the honey with mineral water and pour this water into the dry mixture. Knead the dough and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour to rise.

We divide the finished dough into 10 balls and sculpt buns from them. You can decorate the buns a little, as in my case, take pumpkin or sunflower seeds. Wet a little with water and sprinkle the buns gently with the seeds, then press down a little.

We take a baking sheet and put our buns on it, put it in a warm place for another 20 minutes and start baking.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and put whole grain buns in it for 20 minutes. Before closing the oven door, sprinkle the walls with ordinary water in order to create steam, so the buns will turn out to be more airy inside.
