Borscht "Excellent" without meat
Ingredients
  • 4-5 potatoes
  • 1 boiled beetroot
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 can of red beans in their own juice
  • Juice of 1/4 lemon
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp Sahara
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Onions, herbs, salt, peppercorns to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
Our usual recipe for borscht, but without the use of meat.

Recipe for borscht "excellent" without meat

1. Peel potatoes, beets, garlic and carrots. Potatoes must be cut into small cubes, beets and carrots must be grated on a fine grater, finely chopped garlic. Bring 2 liters of water to a boil, add potatoes, cook until the potatoes are half cooked.

2. Fry onions in vegetable oil, add carrots, after 5 minutes - beets, mix, sprinkle with lemon juice.

3. Put the fried vegetables in a saucepan to the potatoes, then add the beans with juice, cook for 10-15 minutes. At the end of cooking, add salt, sugar, bay leaf, peppercorns, garlic and chopped herbs. Let the borscht brew for 30 minutes - 1 hour.
