Borscht "Beloved"
Ingredients
  • 0.5 kg beef
  • 300 g cabbage
  • 5-6 potatoes
  • 4-5 pcs. beets
  • 200 g onion
  • 200 g carrots
  • 3 art. l. tomato paste
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • Salt
  • Greenery
  • peppercorns
  • Vegetable oil
Another variant of our favorite Russian borscht.

Recipe for borscht "beloved"

1. Pour the meat with 2 liters of water and cook for 1 hour, periodically removing the foam.

2. Cut the potatoes into cubes, put them in the broth, salt, bring to a boil, add the chopped cabbage and cook for another 10 minutes.

3. We clean the beets, then rub them on a coarse grater and fry in a pan with vegetable oil. Add vinegar and tomato paste, continue to simmer for another 10 minutes. Add beets to broth.

4. Finely chop the onion, and rub the carrots on a medium grater. Fry everything in vegetable oil and also add to the broth.

5. Then add bay leaf, crushed garlic, peppercorns, salt and pepper to taste and cook borscht for another 15-20 minutes.

6. Remove the finished borscht from the fire and let it brew. Serve on the table, seasoned with sour cream and garnished with fresh herbs if necessary.
