Ingredients
  • Apricots (you must decide on the quantity yourself, since the saturation of the compote will depend on this)
  • 3 liters of water
  • 3 cups sugar
Slightly unripe fruits are best suited for apricot compote, as they retain their shape better and will not be damaged during cooking.

The first step is to select only good fruits, wrinkled ones should be put aside, they will not work.

Rinse not crushed apricots thoroughly in water and cut into 2 parts, and take out the stone.

It is best to use 3 liter jars, and fill them with apricots by a third. Before filling the jars with apricots, it is necessary to sterilize them together with the lids.

Compote syrup is prepared separately, for this we boil 3 liters of water and mix with 200 grams of sugar.

Completely dissolve the sugar and bring the syrup to a boil, then pour the jars with apricots.

We put the jars filled with syrup in turn in a saucepan with hot water and sterilize for another 10 minutes.

After the lapse of time, we take out a jar of compote and roll it up with an iron lid.

We put the hot jars in a dark place and cover with something so that they do not cool for a long time.
